# Share an IPA or APK with a tester

**An AppBarn Share Link grants access to one ready Build without requiring a recipient account.** A tester can open the link and download the artifact. AppBarn supports QR codes for the same Build.

## Share a Build

1. Upload an IPA, APK or AAB, then confirm the Build is ready.
2. Open the Build and create a Share Link, subject to your permissions.
3. Send the link using your own messaging tool. AppBarn does not currently email no-account Share Links automatically.
4. Revoke the link when testing ends. Links also expire after seven days. [Detailed sharing instructions](/guides/share-install).

**Example:** A QA contractor needs one Android test APK today. Send a Share Link. They open it without joining your AppBarn Workspace, then install the APK if their device permits it.

## Installation is not guaranteed

- **Android APK:** Download and install when Android device policy permits it. [Android steps](/guides/install-android).
- **Android AAB:** Download-only. AppBarn cannot install the AAB directly.
- **iOS IPA:** Installation requires a suitably signed build and device provisioning. A link is not an App Store or TestFlight distribution path. [iPhone steps](/guides/install-ios).
- **Security:** Anyone holding an unexpired Share Link can access that Build. Revocation cannot delete files someone already downloaded.
