Install a shared build on iPhone

An iPhone can offer over-the-air installation of an eligible IPA. The AppBarn Install button starts Apple's installation process. It does not guarantee success.

Prerequisites

  • An iPhone with network access and a valid AppBarn Share Link, or signed-in access to the Build.
  • A ready .ipa with Install shown on its page.
  • A valid Apple signature and provisioning profile that allows this device and distribution method. For Ad Hoc distribution, the device must be registered in the profile. Enterprise distribution must follow the organisation's device policy.

Steps

  1. Open the AppBarn Build page on the iPhone, preferably in Safari.
  2. Confirm the app identifier, version and source are expected.
  3. Tap Install. Follow any iOS confirmation or management prompts.
  4. Look for the app icon or installation progress on the Home Screen.
  5. Open the app when installation finishes. Follow any trust or device-management steps required by the issuer and iOS.

If Install is missing, AppBarn cannot offer OTA for that IPA. Download may remain available for authorised distribution tools.

Expected result

iOS accepts the signed IPA and installs the app. AppBarn's Install button only means it can issue a short-lived installation manifest; the device may reject it.
